| 05/08/2006 Gettin' Heard in
New Orleans |
| |
A little
while ago, I got a request from "Big D" down at WWOZ in New Orleans
for a CD. We get those once in a while, so I sent if off.
This week, Buddy was down there last week for the Jazz and Heritage
Festival. He came back talking about this great radio station
down there that everybody listens too....WWOZ. I said "Hey I
think they're playin' our stuff there". So I checked Big D's
playlist, and sure enough, there we were. So, run out on the
web and check out WWOZ on the web,
and listen to the webcast live. |

us down to Memphis and supported us all week! You guys are
great! We'd also like to thank all our family members for
their support.
As you can
see above we also have a new

| 01/11/2006 UPDATED - ROUNDHOUSE is
selected for airplay on Dan Aykroyd's "HOUSE
OF BLUES RADIO HOUR". |
| |
Due to
technical difficulties, the IBC portion of the radio show
will not air. Sorry for the false
Alarm. Roundhouse is still happy to have been selected. On January
21 and 22, the nationally-syndicated House of Blues Radio Hour
hosted by Elwood Blues (a.k.a. Dan Aykroyd) will feature songs from
11 of the approximately 130 bands competing in the 2006
International Blues Competition (IBC). Among those 11 bands
featured will be the local band ROUNDHOUSE. The band received
notice last week that “Close That Window” from their freshman
release “ROUNDHOUSE” will be aired in recognition of the up coming
competition in Memphis. |

| 07/29/2005 ROUNDHOUSE to Open
for John Hammond at the
Stone
Church |
| |
ROUNDHOUSE has
confirmed that they will be opening for Grammy Award winning Blues Legend, John Hammond on
Thursday, August 25 at the Stone Church in
Newmarket, NH. We're huge fans, so this will really be a
night to remember.
From coffeehouses to concert halls, festivals and beyond, John
Hammond has spent forty years entertaining blues, folk and rock
audiences around the world, performing intense solo-acoustic blues.
A Grammy Award winner and four time nominee, Hammond is also a
multiple W.C. Handy award winner who has shared the stage and/or
recorded with many of the masters, including Muddy Waters, Willie
Dixon, John Lee Hooker and Howlin' Wolf. John has recorded over
twenty five albums and his passionate commitment to traditional
blues made him the natural choice to host the BRAVO TV special and
Sony Home Video, The Search for Robert Johnson. His 2003 release,
Ready For Love, was produced by David Hidalgo of Los Lobos and is
the perfect follow up to Wicked Grin, the acclaimed album produced
by longtime friend Tom Waits and featuring all Waits' songs. Ready
For Love features John's road band including Augie Meyers, Stephen
Hodges, Frank Carillo and Marty Ballou playing an exciting variety
of tracks including songs by George Jones, Tom Waits, David Hidalgo,
Jagger and Richards, Willie Dixon, and a rare original by John
himself. |
